Idea & Token
Beyond Protocol considers node-to-node communication as a basic element in modern technology, including the Internet, AI, distributed ledger technology, etc. Inspired by Bitcoin’s P2P transactions and Ethereum’s arrangements between parties and on their basement Beyond Protocol is creating a network for all devices in the world – from smart watch on your wrist to satellites in space. And the key feature in the device interaction is their communication as a group. As they say, the devices will “talk to each other as one universal, technology specie”.
Node-to-node interaction will use cryptography and blockchain architecture:
– Node identification – all nodes will have trusted identity
– Node integrity – each node can be validated
– Trusted coordination – communication integrity will be maintained across all nodes
– Node autonomy – at the same time nodes will be autonomous
– Node monetization – coordinating a universal marketplace
– Software and data distribution – verified, secure point-to-point transfers
The token called BYND will be used for a number of purposes, such as trading and sharing data, providing access, initiating purchases, enforcing warranty, etc. Anyway, final information regarding the token is still to be provided.
The core team consists of three co-founders: Jonathan M. Manzi, Denis Benic, and Gurvinder Ahluwalia. CEO Jonathan M. Manzi, a successful entrepreneur, founded his first businesses – Vintage Network and Vintacore – when he was in his teens. He was Chair of Entrepreneurship at Stanford University and also founded ink.me, a printing company. CTO Denis Benic also worked at ink.me. COO Gurvinder Ahluwalia, a blockchain expert, worked as CTO of IBM Blockchain, IoT, and Cloud, participated in the Hyperledger project, a successful open-source blockchain-based technology. They also have two advisors – Anoop Nannra, Head of Blockchain/DLT Initiative at Cisco, and Brian Forde, a former senior advisor of Science and Technology Policy in White House.
Beyond Protocol is a very ambitious project being led by a strong, professional team that is developing a global-scale idea of IoT for all devices working under a unified protocol. The project is also a founding member of MOBI, a “nonprofit organization working to make mobility services more efficient by promoting standards and accelerating adoption of blockchain, distributed ledger, and related technologies.” Beyond Protocol is a promising project, but not yet formed and still having missing details. They don’t have a product, the current information about the token and its distribution is not enough.
Keep an eye on Beyond Protocol, because it has a serious potential in the IoT industry.
