Idea & Token

Lightstreams is a blockchain for DApps with a special focus on such features as privacy, confidentiality and scalability. Lightstreams’ technologies will resolve issues of high costs of storing data on blockchains and privacy of this data. The network can be useful for DApps dealing with personal health records, legal documents, data exchanges, decentralized elections, content publishing, social media, etc. The key points of the project:
– Decentralized storage with unlimited capacity
– Low or zero costs for the data storage
– Direct, peer-to-peer channels for interaction between DApps
– Based on modified version of Ethereum while keeping compatibility with the existing Ethereum’s tools and libraries for developers
– An authorization protocol that uses a Distributed Secure Storage Network (DSSN) layer for privacy control
– IPFS technology for uncapped and free data storage
Their utility token called Photon (PHT) will be used for transaction fees on the network, purchasing content and taking art in the network governance. A total supply is 300 million tokens. The token distribution is as follows: 55% – pre-sale and sale, 20% – team, 10% – future offering, 8% – advisors, dev partners and seed, 5% – DApp incentives. 2% – bug bounties.

Team

The team consists of 6 specialists in business development, design, legal, a blockchain developer and two software enginers including the project CEO Michael Smolenski who founded several startups and won various blockchain awards every year from 2015 till 2017. Five advisors support the team with wealth of experience in blockchain, large-scale software, investing, and finance. A good team – both the core one and advisors.

Summary

One more good project offering an advanced platform for DApps and supplying the environment with privacy and confidentiality of data, and scalability and speed for DApps. Not a unique project that will have a number of competitors. Four partnerships have been already established and more are expected. Disadvantages – poor roadmap and unclear information on the ICO dates. Anyway considering low hard cap ($20 million) and a strong team, we believe the project has a promising future.

A project providing an excellent platform for DApps with focus on data privacy and interaction speed. Deserves a check mark.
